Proph Bundy Design & Photography

As we all increasingly download our music instead of browsing through the shelves of our local record shop, album artwork has seemingly become less important…right?  Wrong.  Even though physical albums are in decline, social media is far from plateauing and good album artwork is an extremely effective way to digitally promote an artist’s brand.

Let’s say you’re in band, a singer/songwriter or an MC.  You’ve decided you need killer album artwork but what should it look like?  Who do you go to?  How much should you spend?  Allow me to introduce you to Proph Bundy.  You may not know the name, but I guarantee you’ve seen his work.

CAVATA: Who is Proph Bundy and what do you do?

PB:  What’s good? My name is Proph Bundy. I’m an artist originally from Boston, living in Atlanta. I’ve been into art my entire life, but I’ve been doing graphic design professionally just over 10 years; Photography professionally about 4 years. I got involved in doing a lot of cover art for local Boston artists because of the need. There was a definite demand for it, and really no other designers filling that void. Since I’ve been doing mixtape covers, the mixtape game has grown a lot, to the point where a lot of artists don’t put out albums any longer. And the creative direction has changed a lot as well. Most mixtape covers look the same, with independent/local artists & designers following trends of the big name artists. I try to give my clients an original look, profession and clean, and most importantly, something that really stands out from the hundreds of other mixtapes coming out every month. My brand has grown significantly because of this approach.

CAVATA:  Who are some up-and-coming Boston area acts our CAVATA readers should check out?

PB:  My clientele for graphic design is basically a who’s-who of the Boston Hip Hop scene so it might sound biased if I name all of my clients but honestly they’re the ones out there putting in work and creating great music. I would say some of the artists to look out for would be Phinelia, Millyz, Smoke Bulga, Moufy, Masspike Miles, E. Burton, Dutch ReBelle, Natural, Lou Armstrong, Slaine, Usual Suspecktz, Ea$y Money, Staxx Hustlez, REKS, and I could probably name a dozen more, but those are the first to come to mind.

Need art work or photography???

Proph Bundy is your guy.  100% backed by CAVATA.
