I find it intriguing how everyone has put in their 2 cents about Chris Brown’s new album cover for “Graffiti” considering so many people use iTunes or illegally download music, rendering album artwork useless. I love album artwork and wish there was more of it because it lets you know more about the artist and you can enjoy some amazing creativity if done well. sidenote: Mariah’s new album doesn’t neccessarily have incredible art work but she did a really cool throw back to her previous albums where she recreated the album covers…they look almost identical except in the 2009 photos the first thing you see are two giant melons. Anyway…
Have you ever seen Chris Brown’s tattoos? Some of them are pure comedy ridiculousness. Its no wonder why he digs this new album cover with strange cartoons in the bottom right hand corner that look like Space Jam rejects. Seriously, the album is called GRAFFITI! The commissioned artist could have done something amazing with graffiti art but instead all I see is bad typography, skin-tight man leggings and Breezy’s metallic hand makes him look like he’s about to morph into the T-1000 from Terminator. Does Mr. Brown even know how to play the guitar? I kind of hope so because its a pet peeve of mine when people pose with instruments they can’t play just because it looks interesting. Now that’s just my 2 cents, what do you think?
