Avatar has been out now for a few weeks but if you haven’t seen it yet, well, then you’re just missing out on the most revolutionary movie of our time. No, I’m not talking in terms of the plot (although it wasnt bad at all) I’m talking about its insane animation and 3D visual effects. You need to check this and appreciate it!
Even with all the hoopla out about how Avatar contains racist themes, its really important not to get caught up in other peoples’ negativity and lose sight of what the movie has accomplished. This film is going to change the way we watch movies in the future and even possibly television. Its been reported that ESPN plans on unveiling its 3D sports channel in 2010 which sounds awesome but I’m sure you’re asking the same thing I did: Does this mean we’ll be watching TV with our 3D glasses on? Well I sure hope so because me and Claire were rockin’ those things all night long, alll niiiiight.
So my suggestion of the day: Go see Avatar in 3D and appreciate it, its pretty wild. You know what else is wild? LORI ‘freakin’ KIRK not being a drummer but having the ability to play the drums because she can play any instrument she sees. Its magical. Watch as she gets funky on the drums. Shes craftyy, so so crafty.
