Introducing Regan Smith Clarke: The man, the myth, the tee shirt. My good friend and fellow Bostonian apparel entrepreneur, Regan Clarke, launched his namesake brand a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more excited!

SweetPete and I met up with Regan recently to talk shop and sample his wares firsthand. I picked up two tees from his shop; “Use Your Mind” & “Russian Doll” and the quality is right on point. RSC is all about the details as each tee comes with a screenprinted nape tag & customized hangtag describing the inspiration behind the artwork.

The inspiration behind the brand borrows heavily from vintage and art deco aesthetics which I love. Combining classic images, clean lines and muted colors, RSC is like a young brand with an old soul. Sexy PACKAGE-ing (possibly NSFW)

I’m a sucker for creative packaging & sometimes I’ll even buy an item just because the packaging is THAT cool (that’s how they getcha!) I came across this gem yesterday and had to share it.

I think quirky things like this are the greatest. Its a really creative way of altering the product packaging to create some buzz. See? I’m talking about it right now because it looks like lady bits.

There are a bunch of cool indie tee brands that are experimenting with different kinds of packaging, too. First, there’s Monsieur Eureka by Samuel Boucher in Quebec.

He uses branded tubes to package his tees. The great thing about this is you can re-use the tube for things like holding writing utensils or for creating a really sweet bong (jusssst kidding, maybe)

Next, there’s a fresh new brand called Shrimp Sauce. I’m not quite sure why the brand is named this but I give them props for tying the packaging back to the brand’s positioning. Very neat idea to incorporate a fishing/shrimping net!
