About Warner/Chappell VP Urban A&R Juan Madrid Juan Madrid is the Vice President of Urban A&R for Warner/Chappell Music. Prior to joining Warner/Chappell, Madrid served as Vice President of Urban A&R at Sony/ATV Music Publishing from 2004 to 2009. In this role, as well as in previous positions with the company including Director of Urban A&R and Senior Director of Urban A&R, Madrid helped discover and cultivate the development of a number of recording artists from early on in their careers, including Atlantic Records’ Flo Rida, Rick Ross and Game; sought-after producers including DJ Montay, who produced Flo Rida’s, “Low;” Giorgio Tuinfort, who produced Gwen Stefani’s “Sweet Escape;” as well as songwriter Rob Allen, co-writer of two worldwide No. 1 singles, “Disturbia” (recorded by Rihanna) and “Forever” (recorded by Chris Brown).
