Sure the BMA’s were like 3 weeks ago, I get it. But we got so many great pics and met so many awesome new artists that we just had to spread it out. We couldn’t just blow our load in one or two posts! That’d be like going to Foxwoods and pushing all your money in on one hand or one roll of the dice – trust me, I’ve done it too many times, its just not smart. Anyways, consider this the final chapter to our 2009 BMA saga.
We met so many cool people during the night but there was one person we couldn’t forget- our new friend, John! He’s a fellow Dorchester native, Bad Rabbits fan and overall great dude. Not to mention a fan of Cavata!
There were so many great performances thats its hard to feature them all. One that definately stood out was Lisa and Louie Bello. They packed one of the performance rooms had everyone rockin! It was seriously 100 degrees in that piece with all the bouncing heads.
Lisa Bello had multiple nominations and took home the Award for R&B Act of The Year

Louie Bello was also up for a few BMA nominations and after seeing him perform it was easy to see why. The man is talented! He has a really nice R&B vibe combined with catchy pop hooks…how can you go wrong with that?

“Get Twisted” by Louie and Lisa Bello
Throughout the night we were able to interview some of Boston’s finest artists including local Boston celebs like up-and-coming SAG Actor, Joe Sobalo Jr.
Joe’s been in many major motion pictures filmed in and around Boston and he’s currently working on a variety of new projects. One in particular is the new Boston comedy short, “The Restaurant”. You can see Joe in this reel of outtakes from “The Restaurant”- he’s the male stripper/waiter, the funniest guy in there of course.
Our night at the BMA’s will not be forgotten and will definitely go down in CAVATA history. 2009 was an awesome year for us and we don’t plan on stoppin in 2010!
